Once upon a time there lived a great person named jose antony. He was very satisfied with an AMD computer with 128 mb ram build by Nest system. At that time an esteemed company named Acer entered into the market with budget laptops. The poor young handsome man fell into the grips of Acer advertisement (where he saw top film stars holding laptop and posing for the ads,but this young man never in his life thought that even the stars who were posing for this wont use accer and wud throw it off as soon as the ad was shooted) and sold his pc and brought the acer 3002nlc laptop. He was very proud of his laptop and even advised his friends to buy the laptop instead of any pc. every thing went smooth and fine except for some formatting of hard disk.........................................
And the most drastic incident happened exactly one week after the guarantee period has just finished; the cd-rom of that poor programmer's laptop started malfunctioning. the good hearted programmer went to the Acer service station and replaced the drive spending money from his own pocket. The next two weeks went smoothly.


One sunny early morning when the birds chirping sound woke this programmer up and he was in a good mood to finish his project,humming a few lines of his favourite song he walked towards his laptop and found that ....................................... there was a big vertical line in his display,exactly similar to a vertical ruler that we see in photoshop and other softwares.... He again contacted the Acer service center and they told that changing the display will cost almost 50% as that of the laptop. With the heavy hearted mind he told no and continued using the laptop with the line in the display(may be he thought he could use it as a bult in ruler....).......... from that time onwards he and his laptop were a funny object for his friends to tease. But the poor programmer with a heavy heart heard all that comments and argued that it was only a minor problem...........
Time again went for 2 weeks more... on another bright pleasant Sunday evening he found his windows got stucked. He thought that it was the complaint of the os ...rebooted, rebooted again and again. the windows was hanged in such a way that he had to remove the battery to shutdown. With no good response. He thought it was a virus infection, he re-partitioned and formatted the entire hard disk and installed the windows. But................................ During the installation also with windows got stucked. so he formatted again and reinstalled windows for his luck windows was installed properly ; and on the first login again the windows got stucked. he tried installing all version of windows but all behaved the same.

Then only he came to know that Acer stands for (Always Complaint Every time Repair)........
From that moment onwards he started to discourage all his friends in taking Acer laptops.

I Dedicate this blog for all Acer laptop owner who are still find problems in there laptop. Please feel free to add your comments.....

and to end the story the young man now also continues formatting,...formattiing and formatting.....

Sure..ACER sucks....

i had an acer, during the second week, the speakers quit working. the service personnel could do nothing about it, though i went to EKM twice for that...
Then its hard disk had problems...

Then only one more problem occured--its os got crashed.. tried to re-install. It showed thousands of problems. When contacted service personnel, he said it had hard disk problems+ OS problems...That was too much 4 me...

Want to know how the story ends???

Well, now i'm a proud owner of Toshiba :-)

hey man its so sad....hohohoho....the gr8 lesson u got from this is never trust accer(Alltime Complaint Everytme Repair)....many of my friends are also facing problems wit this laptop..oops..sorry not laptop...wastetop..

guys and gals dont fall into the trap of this stupid thing.my friend had one acer laptop and i used to work with it.during the guarantee period it was ok and now its in the waste basket

Ok I had enough of shouting at Acer, but yes its a fact that Acer buyers are idiots since Acer is a stupid laptop !

Ya one of my friend had an Acer laptop which he bought for around 35000. At first laptop was ok. Te CD drive has to be changed in the guarentee period which the company did. But soon after the guarentee period the dirve stopped working and cost him 8000 Rs to change.

By the way their is no need to blame the company bcoz only fools buy laptop. I always said him to buy a ordinary computer at the same rate and we can play all the high end games.

Some body telling acer is bad just screw ur self.. Bec i m using acer for last 1 year.. and in my offic e every computer as well as laptops r of acer made.. nothing has shown any prob.. Insted i own a compaq N6000 very high performance laptop..Its showing many prob.. The only truste laptops on the market now is acer & Dell.. so just shut up.. I m Using AMD64 Turion with 2 GB RAM now..Supper performance.. I had a acer Travel mate 2000 series before. I use the same still.. Still now, even windows havent shown any prob..So TRUST acer guys..

I sold my acer laptop due to a no. of complaints like cd rome not working properly, hard disk complaint etc. So pls don't fall into trap of acer through adverticements and offers.

absolutely
acer laps are alwys bad
my lap top became deaf after a month as its mic n speakers started indefinite strike,
another thing is that it takes light years to boot up, result frustration and formating becomes daily affair,
my routine goes like this
1.wake up,
2.brush teeth
3.try booting acer
4. go mad
5 format

acer sucks man

But the story goes on..........
The poor man which he(jose) call himself... tried to double cross one of his friend - liju egandiyur (a chat maniac), by trying to sell this so called lap top at a fairly high price.
But there comes a Kidu of Kerala - the Saviour.
He trouble shooted the lap and handled back it to panpujose and saved both liju and pampu jose.

hey even i have acer travelmate 2410...within 1 year or something it got 1 major and the other minor crack on laptop's exterior cover.. it's such a panic i dont understand what to do coz warrenty period is over...

Am damn lucky so far man...I dont have any problem so far with Acer running vista...Its super fast and no errors too...I played some games even for the initial 3-4 months...Now i installed visual studio 2010 and whatever crap i needed. and use to see lot of movies and know wot it still aint got any problem. And i only formatted my s/m once that too to change t from xp to vista as i thought xp performed poor with my lap...and was true. With xp thr was some problems. If i could run my acer another one more year then i think acer is superb. May be the earlier versions sucked. Now Dell started sucking its customers...hi hi...2 of my friends become victimm of dell. Both of their DVD drive damaged aftr guarantee period...lol.. And one more your presentation of writing abt the complaint was so nice, witty and on point...Reaally goooood man....

try to understand that most the providers do offer one year limited warranty.

Don't expect more from them until you have re-newed your AMC but its not a free :-)

Rest of them are living with your luck and science behind the electronics...

Try some other brands when you really need a computing power...

It's good heart breaking story of computers ... and expectations behind the electronics life.

Appreciating to find the time for this blogging and the information given.
